SIROCCO

Privacy Policy

Who

Sirocco is published by Kristoffer Benjamin Nygaard, who is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions and requests: studio@bysirocco.com.

Measurement

If you accept, this site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies and sends data to Google, including outside Europe. If you decline, it is never loaded and no cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time below.

Email

If you give an address to receive letters from Sirocco, a link is sent to it first; nothing more arrives until you confirm. The address is held by Kit, an email service in the United States, which sends them from studio@bysirocco.com on Sirocco's behalf; your address is therefore stored outside Europe. It is used for nothing else. Never sold, never shared. Every message carries a one-click unsubscribe, and you can ask to be removed at any time.

The wind

The home page shows today's Saharan dust and winds. To draw them, your browser asks Open-Meteo, an open weather service, for the day's figures, at most once an hour. It sends nothing about you beyond what any web request carries, such as your IP address, and no cookies are set.

Hosting

The site is served by Vercel, which keeps standard server records, such as IP addresses, to deliver the pages and keep them secure.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and withdraw consent. Write to the address above. You may also complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
